BEIJING -- Here’s the scene at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from PhilCam. And here’s the expert commentary, as delivered by blogger Phil Hersh: ‘White air again. Ugh.’

As usual, the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau website has relevant air pollution data. The Chaoyang District is home to the Olympic Green, where much of the Olympic action will occur. Rowing will be contested in the Renhe Town station in the Shunyi District.
