Upon further review, Jarome Iginla gets a hat trick

Jarome Iginla is so good, he added a goal to his scoring totals more than three hours after Canada’s 8-0 victory over Norway in the men’s hockey tournament.

Everyone at Canada Hockey Place believed that Iginla had scored Canada’s final goal, at 18:11 of the third period. It appeared to be his third goal of the game, so fans tossed dozens of hats onto the ice.

However, the official scorer gave the goal to Rick Nash. A few minutes after the game Iginla acknowledged that he had tipped the puck into the net, but in true selfless hockey-player fashion he didn’t make a fuss over it.

The International Ice Hockey Federation reviewed the goal anyway, and at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday announced a scoring change that gives Iginla the goal.

So it now reads Iginla from Nash and Sidney Crosby.

So there.
