Some word about California results from our Political Muscle blog:

L.A. County Registrar-Recorder Conny B. McCormack cautioned that meaningful results in most races will not be available until late evening, due to the sheer geographic size of the county and the large number of registered voters. [...] The results of an estimated 370,000 absentee ballots will be announced shortly after 8 p.m., followed by a long dry spell until 10:30 p.m. “There’s always that huge hole,” McCormack said. “The biggest, busiest time” is from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., she added.
