STATEMENT BY MAYOR VILLARAIGOSA IN RESPONSE TO DAVID BECKHAM JOINING THE LOS ANGELES GALAXY

LOS ANGELES - Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa today made the following statement regarding David Beckham joining the Los Angeles Galaxy:

“G o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o a l ! !”

Mayor Villaraigosa also said, “David Beckham will ge nerate tremendous exposure for the L.A. Galaxy, and increase an already heightened level of interest in the sport of soccer among Angelenos and all Americans.”
