Opinion: The dreaded “technical difficulties” UPDATED

We’re having trouble approving comments that readers have offered to posts made prior to Wednesday. I noticed the problem late Wednesday night and hoped we’d have it solved right away, but that obviously didn’t happen. Many apologies to those whose remarks haven’t been posted yet -- they remain stuck in limbo, not deleted but out of our reach. Believe me, we’re just as peeved about this as you are, if not more so.

Update: Full comment posting capability has been restored (as of about 1 p.m. today), and all backlogged comments have been approved and posted (or at least the ones that weren’t laced with obscenities, threats or bogus Viagra offers). Please feel free to mock older posts to your hearts’ content.
