Regulations in a Republican primary = BAD.

Meg Whitman has said before, and repeated in Monday’s debate, that she would put a one-year moratorium on AB 32, the state’s global warming legislation.

In fact, she said, ‘I want to put a one-year moratorium on all new regulations. Let’s stop the madness.’

What madness? She visited a farmer in San Luis Obispo who was simultaneously required to recycle all of his water and none of his water. That madness. (Digression: she also took a ride with Border Patrol agents, but that’s another story – Meg Whitman, listeners, has traveled this entire state.)

Steve Poizner, not to be outdone, said one year was not enough of a moratorium on global warming legislation.
