Carly Fiorina released from hospital

U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina has been released from a Los Angeles-area hospital and is heading home, an official with her campaign said.

Fiorina is scheduled to resume her campaign activities Thursday.

Fiorina was hospitalized Tuesday to treat an infection that resulted from a surgery earlier this year.

Fiorina, a cancer survivor, has been declared cancer-free by her doctors.
