For Year No. 18 of releasing its annual Grammy compilation album, the Recording Academy has opted to give fans something of a golden ticket. Those purchasing the ‘2012 Grammy Nominees’ album, released each year in conjunction with the Recording Academy and a different major label, will have the opportunity to win a trip to the 2013 Grammy Awards ceremony. Just in case, of course, anyone needed a little extra incentive to own another copy of Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ or to sample Skrillex’s ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.’

The 22-track-disc -- sort of a ‘Now! That’s What I Call Some Grammy Nominees’ compilation -- will be released in stores and online Jan. 24. The contest is open to everyone who buys the album, regardless of format. This year’s disc is released in partnership with Universal Records, and the contest is something called ‘The Grammy Ticket Game.’ Fans will have to go to the site linked in the previous sentence to enter.
