At 6:10 p.m., this is the scene at Exhibit Hall B: The mood at the L.A. Convention Center is fairly upbeat, with a couple of dozen WGA members milling about. Nearly 40 people are set up to check the members in. So far, no banners or notable T-shirts are visible. Security is fairly tight, with members required to show ID, check in and get a handstamp. That stamp is checked before they are let inside. The double doors into the convention hall are glass. However, there’s a white curtain pulled across that blocks the view of anything beyond the glass doors.
