Country star Kenny Rogers will be featured in an episode of “How I Met Your Mother” this season, CBS confirmed.

The Oct. 19 episode, “Dual Citizenship,” will find Rogers giving a guest performance as the Gambler, IGN TV reports.

In the episode, Ted (Josh Radnor) and Marshall (Jason Segel) travel to Chicago to relive a college memory, but the fun road trip hits a snag when Lily (Alyson Hannigan) tags along. The change in plans leads to a guest performance from Rogers, involving “a ‘Marley & Me’ type tearjerker called ‘Goodbye, Sparky.’ ”

Earlier, news broke that Rachel Bilson and Tim Gunn would guest star in the 100th episode of the series.
