How the Earth Was Made: The episode ‘America’s Ice Age’ charts the progress of different ice ages through the history of Earth and predicts when the next one is due (9 p.m. History).

Paranormal Cops: A homeowner calls for help when her houseguest is choked in her sleep by an unknown force (10 p.m. A&E). Then, in the season finale (10:30 p.m.), an ex-cop seeks answers to the mysteries uncovered in his job as a security guard.

Maneaters: The season finale visits survivors of tiger and leopard attacks (10 p.m. Animal Planet).

16 and Pregnant: A partying beach bunny realizes she is too immature to raise a baby on her own in the season premiere of the unscripted series (10 p.m. MTV).
