It’s a sad, sad situation without ‘The Situation’ on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Aww, America, we don’t like this situation at all.

We know Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino’s tango was the exact opposite of fist-pumping, but did he really deserve to leave ‘Dancing With the Stars’ before a few others? You know exactly who we mean. Were you mad at him for being so mean to Snooki last week on ‘Jersey Shore’? He said he was sorry!

Even though The Situation was upset with the judges for being ‘so un-positive’ and giving him the lowest scores of the night for a routine that included complicated lifts that wound up hurting his neck -- more on that later -- he took his defeat like The Situation that he is. He knows he may king of the ‘Jersey Shore,’ but host Tom Bergeron is the king of the ballroom and apparently deserves to be bowed to because that’s exactly what The Situation did. Twice.

Then, after Bergeron complimented him on the addictive nature of ‘Jersey Shore’ and noting that The Situation behaved differently on ABC, The Situation explained that MTV viewers only see a ‘keyhole’ version of him. But ‘Dancing With the Stars’ viewers, well, they got to see the ‘whole situation.’

Seriously, America, you voted that out?

After the show, The Situation skipped his press chats because he had to be seen by doctors for pain in his neck caused by the lifts that sent him packing. Life can be so cruel.

But he did make it to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ with his partner, Smirnoff, where he said that the competition was ‘definitely harder than I thought.’

‘I tried my best out there,’ he said. ‘Obviously, I’m not a dancer. We all know that. It wasn’t ‘Dancing with the Professionals.’ It was ‘Dancing with The Situation.’’

Kimmel brought up the fact that most people say The Situation is different than they expected him to be on the reality competition show. That’s when the ‘keyhole’ came up again.

‘The character they see on ‘Jersey Shore’ is really just ... like a keyhole of who I really am,’ he replied. ‘And that’s pretty much the reason I took the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ gig.... I knew it was gonna be hard. But I was like, you know, if I take ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ people are gonna really see that I’m really trying, I have to work really hard and practice to get past each round. And that’s exactly what I did.’

The Situation then got interrupted by a phone call from his friend, ‘The Unit.’ See for yourself on the videos below.

Sitch, we will miss you. At least, we still have him on ‘Jersey Shore’ until Oct. 21 and then on Oct. 28 for the reunion show.
