1944’s “To Have and Have Not” is the tale of an old rummy (Walter Brennan) who seeks an answer to the eternal question, “Was you ever bit by a dead bee?” There’s also some romantic nonsense involving Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.

THURSDAY
Are you “Awake” — or are you still asleep? Perhaps this is all just a dream. Or maybe you’re just crazy. Such is the existential predicament a grieving police detective (“Harry Potter’s” Jason Isaacs) is faced with in this intriguing new drama.
