Three Arizona outs to go. St. Louis holds a 10-3 lead over the Diamondbacks going into the bottom of the 8th at St. Louis.
If St. Louis holds on, the champagne can flow at Dodger Stadium, where Los Angeles will celebrate a National League West championship. The playoffs begin Wednesday, with the opponent to be determined. (It will be either the Cubs, Phillies or Mets.)
Dodger beat writer Dylan Hernandez is at Dodger Stadium, where players have begun to trickle in. Clayton Kershaw and Juan Pierre are running in the outfield, but otherwise, the place is quiet. It will be a different story in a few hours. Hope everyone has a champagne-resistant raincoat.
