UCLA-Fresno State football: The actors’ studio

The agency representing actor Brandon Molale, a former Fresno State football player, has made two offers to set up an interview with him before Saturday’s UCLA-Fresno State football game. Anyone can say ‘who?’ So here’s a breakdown of both university’s former-football-playing actors: Molale and Mark Harmon.
Football career:
Molale spent the 1993 and 1994 seasons playing guard for Fresno State. The Bulldogs were 13-11-1 in those two seasons. He lost to Baylor in his first game.
Harmon spent the 1972 and 1973 seasons playing quarterback at UCLA. The Bruins were 17-5 in those two seasons. He beat No. 1 ranked Nebraska in his first game.
Longest TV gig:
Molale played ‘Hank Collins’ in eight episodes of ‘Days of Our Lives.’
Harmon was ‘Dr. Jack McNeil’ for 95 episodes of ‘Chicago Hope.’
First big movie role:
Harmon in ‘Summer School,’ as ‘Mr. Freddy Shoop.’ He was the lead actor.
Molale played ‘Blazer’ in ‘Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.’ He had no lines.
Biggest Co-Star:
Harmon was with Sean Connery in ‘The Presidio.’ Harmon was the co-star, playing ‘Detective Jay Austin.’
Molale was in ‘Balls of Fury’ with Christopher Walken. Molale played ‘Male Courtesan #1.’
UCLA and Fresno State play at the Rose Bowl on Saturday.
