Ned Colletti to Jim Rome: Manny changed clubhouse dynamic

Jim Rome, the funny, acerbic sports-talk star who is on AM 570, had Ned Colletti (pictured here) this morning, and the Dodgers GM clearly loves what Manny Ramirez has done for his team.

‘He’s changed the dynamic of our clubhouse,’ he told Rome a few minutes ago. That may be the understatement of the season.

I can put it another way: Manny brought joy to the clubhouse. And personality. For the Dodgers, he is the whole package. As Colletti said, Manny has been able to teach baseball’s fine points of winning consistently and has amazing talent.

Asked by Rome about the team’s pitching and the bullpen, in particular, Colletti said: ‘I have a lot of confidence in it. ... Our rotation has been solid. ... It comes down to how we pitch and catch the ball.’

Yep. See the ball. Hit the ball. Throw the ball. Catch the ball. Pretty simple.
