Matt Kemp was two for four in Game 3, but will be on the bench tonight. Replacing him will be Juan Pierre, who started only seven games in September, including two after the Dodgers clinched the National League West title.

Kemp is hitting .208 (six for 24) in the postseason. He was one for seven in the first two games of the championship series and struck out twice in the third.

Doesn’t look like Kemp’s and Pierre’s histories against Phillies starter was a factor in the decision. Kemp is two for eight against him lifetime. Pierre has never faced him.

James Loney, who didn’t start Game 2, is back in the lineup.
