Phillies foresaw Dodgers retaliation -- but did Dodgers?

The Phillies said after last night’s game that they expected the Dodgers eventually to retaliate for the inside pitches in the first two games of the National League championship series.

But there was some question here before the game whether the Dodgers’ pitchers had the makeup to play hardball.

Bill Plaschke, who wrote that column, figures that someone got through to Hiroki Kuroda.

Manny Ramirez also approved.
