In a rare eighth-inning appearance Monday night, Brad Lidge was shaky. So the Phillies had their Game 2 starter in the bullpen just in case they needed him in the ninth.

Brett Myers is proving to be the most versatile player in the NLCS -- starting, relieving and hitting.

Lidge retired the side in order in the ninth so Myers -- who was the Phillies’ closer much of last season, when he had 21 saves -- didn’t have to do anything but sit.

The Phillies now look smart to have resisted the temptation to use Cole Hamels on short rest as the Game 4 starter. He now gets an opportunity to close out the Dodgers on Wednesday night in Game 5.

Ticket brokers aren’t getting rich off Dodgers fans for Game 5.

Maybe they’ve been talking to Hamels. He seems pretty confident.

Tommy Lasorda won’t go down without a fight. He says the Phillies don’t play the game right.

Everyone, chill. And enjoy the music of Nancy Bea.
