Galaxy adds Australia stop to tour

Having made a financially rewarding swing through Australia and New Zealand in the last Major League Soccer off-season, the Galaxy will try to repeat the experience this off-season.
The team has added a game in Australia to one previously announced in New Zealand.
The Galaxy will play the Queensland Roar--Aussie team names are just about as lame as early MLS team names -- on Dec. 11 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
The match will take place five days after Coach Bruce Arena’s side plays an Oceania All-Star team in Auckland.
In 2007, the Galaxy played in front of a total of more than 100,000 fans in Sydney and Wellington.
Like the Galaxy in MLS, the Roar is struggling to secure a playoff spot in Australia’s A-League. Its most prominent players are former Scotland international Charlie Miller and former Australian international and 2006 World Cup veteran Craig Moore.
