A new hoops book is coming out next month with the obtuse title ‘The Macrophenomenal Pro Basketball Almanac.’ It’s written by a Chicago-based sports blog with the arcane name FreeDarko, which is inspired by, of all people, Darko Milicic.

The book attempts to decode the inner workings of some of the great NBA players of the moment. Understandably, the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant fills up much of Chapter 1. Among the Kobe entries, this yin and yang passage:
