‘Nacho Brothers’ top the hit (and interception) list

Talk about doubling up on defense. San Jose State’s Carl and Duke Ihenacho, from Gardena, are believed to be the only brothers ever to lead national college football statistical categories at the same time.

Carl, a junior defensive end, shares the NCAA lead with tackles for loss with an average of two a game. Duke, a sophomore linebacker, is the co-leader in interceptions with seven through five games.

Known as the ‘Nacho Brothers, the two will be looking to stay at the top of those categories when the Spartans host No. 13 Boise State Friday night. Read more about Carl and Duke on latimes.com.
