USC, Penn State are at the Rose Bowl and ready

Penn State players and coaches appeared at the Rose Bowl stadium shortly after noon with little fanfare. They wore sport coats and ties and walked quietly from one entrance to the locker room, staying outside the sideline.
Fifteen minutes later, USC players arrived, most wearing crimson-and-gold warmup pants and jackets and carrying backpacks. Half the team strode to the center of the field and stood on the red rose painted on the field, while the other half walked to the end zone and stood with arms around shoulders in a circle.
