Lakers Pau Gasol named to NBA All-star team

Lakers forward Pau Gasol has been selected to the Western Conference All-Stars as a reserve, The Times’ Mike Bresnahan reported this afternoon. Gasol was voted onto the team by NBA coaches, according to the story, which also says NBA media partner TNT is expected to make an official announcement.
Gasol, 28, is averaging 17.3 points, nine rebounds and 3.4 assists a game.
