It wasn’t a huge shock to see Pac-10 leader Washington beat USC on Saturday night.

It was a little strange to look at the final score.

The Huskies’ 60 points were about 25% less than they averaged coming into the game as the conference’s most prolific scoring team. Their three biggest scoring threats combined for just 18 points, and the team managed just 4 assists on 22 baskets.

While good defensively, Washington isn’t exactly known as suffocating -- but it sure sucked the wind out of USC.

Trojan Coach Tim Floyd put it all in perspective when asked about his bench, which combined for just 2 points in 26 combined minutes.

‘Points from starters would have been great too. There weren’t many in the game. We had 51.’

More perspective from Floyd:

Floyd and Taj Gibson also spoke about the impact of Jon Brockman, who pulled down 14 rebounds on the night.
