Clippers starters Baron Davis (sore right hamstring) and Marcus Camby (migraines, ear infection) will not play in tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers at Staples Center.

A team spokesman said Davis tweaked his right hamstring in the second quarter of Wednesday’s home games against Memphis -- the Clippers’ fourth straight loss -- and played with the pain but had trouble practicing in the days afterward and opted to take Saturday night off. He’s day to day, the spokesman said, and given the team’s fall far from the playoff picture at 15-47, rest has been deemed the appropriate treatment.

Camby, meanwhile, is out with migraines believed to be caused by what an MRI exam showed to be excessive ‘fluid in his head,’ Coach Mike Dunleavy said before the game. ‘Maybe from the ear infection he had, it’s causing pressure. We believe it’s something that’s going to go away.’

At least center Chris Kaman said Saturday he expects to return to the lineup Tuesday against Cleveland after being out since Nov. 26 with an injured left foot. And rookie guard Eric Gordon is back after missing four games with a bruised left shoulder. Still, the starting lineup is rookie guard Mike Taylor playing for Davis, rookie center DeAndre Jordan starting for Camby, and the remainder filled out by Gordon, Fred Jones and Al Thornton.

Forward Zach Randolph has also returned to the team after his father, Roger Randolph, 59, died early Thursday in an Indianapolis hospital of liver failure. Randolph said he and his five siblings were at his father’s bedside when he passed. Randolph said he’ll miss the March 14 game at Denver to attend his father’s funeral.
