Arizona basketball evaluates NCAA hopes after early Pac-10 tournament exit

The Arizona Wildcats were sent packing early in the Pac-10 tournament on Thursday afternoon.

Arch rival Arizona State won, 68-56, led by sophomore James Harden. The talented guard piled up 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Wildcats were led by 20 points from Jordan Hill and 18 from Nic Wise.

After making the NCAA tournament for 24 consecutive seasons, Arizona, 19-13 overall with wins against Kansas and Gonzaga, may not catch up to North Carolina’s record of 27 straight trips to the Big Dance. They’ll find out if the receive an at-large bid along with the rest of the country during CBS’s Selection Sunday show.
