USC, Arizona are the Pac 10’s last hopes in NCAAs

It has been left up to USC and Arizona to carry the Pac 10’s honor in the NCAA tournament, odd since they were the conference’s least likely to succeed.

USC needed to win the conference tournament to get in and Arizona is believed to have grabbed the last at-large spot. But after California, UCLA, Washington and Arizona State were washouts the first weekend, the Trojans and Wildcats are the only ones left to try to further the conference’s streak.

At least two Pac 10 teams have advanced to the Sweet 16 since 2004. In 2007, three teams made it.
