It’s crunch time for the UCLA baseball team that is still hoping to make the NCAA playoffs. The Bruins (27-28, 15-11) kept alive their tournament hopes Saturday with a 10-4 victory over Pacific 10 Conference champion Arizona State behind freshman Trevor Bauer, who threw his fourth complete game and improved to 9-3.

The Bruins are in third place in the Pacific 10 and conclude their regular season today at Arizona State. Finishing .500 would greatly help the Bruins’ chances of getting an at-large NCAA berth. The Pac-10 is expected to have Arizona State, Washington State and Oregon State selected on Monday. Another win over the No. 3 team in the nation could be the final push the Bruins need.
