MLB draft: Bonita’s Mier goes No. 21 to Houston Astros

ShortstopJiovanni Mier from La Verne Bonita was chosen No. 21 by the Houston Astros. Mier signed with USC but is considered the top defensive high school shortstop in the draft. He’s the third Southern California high school prospect to be selected in the first round.
