ARLINGTON, Texas -- Randy Wolf was in shallow left field moments ago throwing on flat ground.
Why?
The Dodgers’ game in Texas is delayed in the sixth inning because a bank of lights along the first base line went out.
Crew chief Charlie Reliford suspended the game at 8:17 p.m. local time. Reporters in the press box were told that the delay would last 45 minutes to an hour.
A repair crew is on the scene.
The Dodgers’ bullpen is empty, as the relievers retreated to the clubhouse long ago.
Based on the fact that Wolf was playing catch with Jamie Hoffmann, my guess is that he will return to the mound for the sixth, but we’ll see. Wolf has been excellent so far, limiting the Rangers to two hits over two scoreless innings.
The game is tied, 0-0.
