NHRA’s Larry Dixon on the rise

Larry Dixon, a National Hot Rod Assn. top fuel driver, has won two of the past three events and has climbed into third place in the top fuel standings.
The Van Nuys High graduate and driver for Al-Anabi Racing has made three semifinal appearances in a row. He will look to extend that streak at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, this weekend.

Tony Pedregon and Ashley Force Hood have met in the past two NHRA funny car finals. Pedregon has won both times and leads the funny car standings. Force Hood is hot on his heels, second in the funny car standings, and looking for her fourth finals appearance in a row.
