It was only a preseason game, but the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game between the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans Sunday night on NBC, where Cris Collinsworth made his debut as John Madden’s replacement, was the most-watched sporting event of the week with 7.9 million viewers according to Nielson ratings.
Here are the next four most-watched sports events of the week:
2. CBS World Series of Golf Bridgeston Invitational won by Tiger Woods, 6.3 million.
3. ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, Yankees-Red Sox (of course), 4.7 million
4. Fox Saturday Baseball, Red Sox-Yankees (of course) and Rangers-Angels shared the national exposure, 4.0 million
5. ESPN Sprint Car Series, at Watkins Glen, rain delay and all, 2.5 million
