Five USC players on preseason All-Pac-10 team

It’s often difficult to put much stock in preseason all-conference teams because most of the people that put them together are not truly experts on one particular league.

Miller’s preseason All-Pac-10 team includes USC receiver Damian Williams, offensive linemen Kristofer O’Dowd, Jeff Byers and Charles Brown and safety Taylor Mays.

During the spring, Miller ranked the top 30 players in the Pac-10. Eight Trojans made the list, including Mays (No. 1), O’Dowd (5), Williams (7), running back Joe McKnight (12), Brown (17), safety Josh Pinkard (19), running back Stafon Johnson (21) and defensive end Everson Griffen (30).
