The Ducks will play their first exhibition game Wednesday (sorry, Commissioner Bettman, we don’t call these ‘preseason games’ because they’re scrambly and good for a fight or three), and it will have an interesting twist.

First, the mundane.

The lines will be:

Bobby Ryan - Peter Holland - Dan Sexton
Nicolas Deschamps - Maxime Macenauer - Joffrey Lupul
Evgeny Artyukhin- Ryan Carter - Troy Bodie
Matt Beleskey - Petteri Nokelainen - Mike Brown

The defense pairs will be:

Luca Sbisa - Sheldon Brookbank
Brian Salcido
(of Hermosa Beach) - Nick Boynton
Brendan Mikkelson - Steve Eminger

Goaltenders:
Jonas Hiller
Timo Pielmeier

Ryan Getzlaf has been skating every day but isn’t scrimmaging and won’t play.

One other kind of line will come into play here: lines at the concession stands.

Several veteran Ducks players who aren’t in the lineup for games Wednesday against Phoenix or Thursday against Vancouver at the Honda Center will welcome fans back in person while working at the box office, team store and concession stands both nights.Starting at 6:30 p.m. they’ll join team and arena employees at their various stations. Be patient if they fumble the change: the Canadian guys are used to loonies and toonies (Canada’s $1 and $2 coins).

A list of players and their locations will be posted at the Fan Zone, across from section 210
