USC football: Matt Barkley and Taylor Mays testing their fitness (UPDATE)

It’s raining off and on here at Husky Stadium in Seattle, but it looks like it may clear up by kickoff.

The usual flotilla of boats has taken up position on Lake Washington beyond the east end zone.

The field is an artificial surface, so footing does not figure to be as much of an issue if it were grass.

Quarterback Matt Barkley is testing his arm and Taylor Mays is testing his knee. Mays, though, was not in uniform to start the game.
