Reporters from around the Tribune family tackle the question of the day, then you get a chance to chime in and tell them why they are wrong?

It’s not No. 1 vs. No. 2 but close. Who wins Saturday’s Florida-LSU game and why?

Can’t wait for Saturday’s big Southeastern Conference game between No.1 Florida and No. 4 Louisiana State in Baton Rouge? What if I told you it might have very little impact on this year’s national title race? That it might not even matter if Gator quarterback Tim Tebow, recovering from a concussion, plays or not? It’s one of those weird situational set ups where the loser will likely be able to advance to the BCS title game if it wins out and finishes 12-1. Why? If Florida loses, it could avenge defeat in a rematch against LSU in the SEC title game or beat the team, Alabama, that would have beaten LSU. If LSU loses, but then beats Alabama to win the West and defeats Florida in a SEC title rematch, how does LSU not make the BCS title game? Sit back and enjoy Florida-LSU but, far as we can tell, ANY 12-1 SEC champion is likely going to play in Pasadena on Jan. 7. Not that it matters, but Florida wins with Tebow, loses without.

The LSU Tigers (5-0) keep finding a way to win, whether it’s on the road or at home. That was an impressive win Saturday at Georgia with the Tigers and Bulldogs scoring three TDs in the final three minutes. LSU got the last one, with 46 seconds left, in hostile territory.
LSU is 3-0 on the road, 2-0 at home, and this one is in Baton Rouge. The thinking might be different if there wasn’t so much uncertainty surrounding Florida QB Tim Tebow. He’s the engine that makes the Gators go.
The combination of the Tigers having what it takes to prevail no matter where they are, the questions surrounding Tebow, and the fact Florida hung 51 points on the Tigers and beat them by 30 in Gainesville last year will inspire LSU.
