As I walked up to Yankee Stadium today, I noticed a local television station interviewing two fans dressed in Angels gear, and lots of it.

‘It’ll be 80 degrees for an Angel-Dodger World Series,’ said Shaun Shuck, formerly of Huntington Beach and now of Birmingham, Ala.

‘Heaven’s a halo fan,’ said Sam O’Donnell of San Diego.

After the TV station had finished with Shuck and O’Donnell, I asked whether they had gotten any grief from Yankee fans.

‘We’ve been treated well all day,’ O’Donnell said.

‘I think New York fans are a little bit nervous against the Angels,’ Shuck said. ‘And, besides, we beat the Red Sox. They like that.’

I thanked them for their time and left them alone to enjoy the game. But not for long. A photographer from the Orange County Register wanted to take their picture.
