Blackhawks claim Andrew Ebbett from Ducks

Andrew Ebbett, placed on waivers by the Ducks, was claimed today by the Chicago Blackhawks.

Ebbett had eight goals and 32 points in 48 games last season and added a goal and three points in 13 playoff games. Although he centered the second line most of last season, his small size worked against him. The Ducks’ signing of Saku Koivu over the summer and Ryan Carter’s strong training camp pushed Ebbett down the depth chart. He played in only two games this season and had no points.

The Ducks play St. Louis tonight at the Honda Center.
