USC moves up to No.4 in latest Associated Press poll

Alabama is the new No.1 in Sunday’s Associated Press football poll and USC is the new No. 4. Alabama, a 20-6 winner over South Carolina, overtook Florida for the top spot after the Gators struggled to a three-point home win over Arkansas.

USC held off a late rally to defeat Notre Dame, 34-27, and moved up two spots to No. 4

The AP top 10: Alabama, Florida, Texas, USC, Cincinnati, Boise State, Iowa, Miami, Louisiana State and Texas Christian.

The AP is no longer a part of the Bowl Championship Series standings, which will be released later on Sunday. The top two teams in the BCS will play for the national title Jan. 7 in the Rose Bowl.
