Cliff Lee’s catches almost as notable as his pitching in Game 1 of World Series

Someone should tell Cliff Lee that pitching in the World Series is about as good as it gets for a professional ballplayer.

Judging by Lee’s reaction to a catch he made on a routine pop fly in Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday night, it looks as though the Phillies faithful won’t have to worry about Lee getting nervous on baseball’s biggest stage. Check out the video:

Obviously Lee doesn’t want to waste much energy on fly balls. After all, that’s T-ball stuff compared to the great, behind-the-back catch he made in the eighth inning off Robinson Cano. Let’s go back to the video:

Too bad Lee can’t pitch every game for the Phillies -- his Game 1 effort was the epitome of a standout performance.
