Oregon Coach Ernie Kent, the first to take the stage at the Pacific 10 media day, joked about people coming up to him all morning with the same question.

Aren’t you the president’s brother-in-law?

Of course, they had mistaken him for Coach Craig Robinson, who is Michelle Obama‘s brother and now is in his second year as the coach at Oregon State. When Robinson stood at the podium, he started: ‘Hi, I’m Ernie Kent.’

A few minutes later, new Washington State Coach Ken Bone talked about the culture shock of moving to tiny Pullman in eastern Washington.

‘It’s nice to get to L.A.,’ he said. ‘And see what a big city looks like again.’
