Andretti Autosport adds Camarillo driver Charlie Kimball to Indy Lights team

Charlie Kimball, a driver from Camarillo, will drive for Michael Andretti’s Firestone Indy Lights team in 2010, the team announced this morning.

Kimball completed his rookie season in 10th place in the Indy Lights standings in 2009. The 24-year-old had two top-five finishes in 15 races last year.

Kimball will be part of a two-car effort for AFS Racing/Andretti Autosport in the Indy Lights series next season.

Andretti Autosport also has a three-car team in the Izod IndyCar Series with Danica Patrick, Tony Kanaan and Marco Andretti as drivers.
