Right wing Wayne Simmonds underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee [updated] Monday afternoon at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic. The procedure was performed by Dr. Ronald Kvitne.

The Kings said in a statement that his time frame for returning to the ice is week to week and added that he will be reevaluated in about a week to get a better idea of his progress and when he might play again.

Simmonds had nine goals and 20 points in 33 games. No one on the Kings has been able to say how or when he was injured.
