Kobe Bryant will not play in Sunday’s NBA All-Star game.

The NBA announced Thursday that Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Kidd and New York Knicks forward David Lee will replace Bryant and Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson at the game, to be held in Dallas.

Bryant will not play because of a sprained ankle that has sidelined him the last three games. By staying out, he will likely be ready to play against Golden State on Tuesday. Iverson will not play due to personal reasons.
