Pac-10 basketball: California leading Oregon, 47-34, at halftime

Jerome Randle, the Pacific 10 Conference player of the year, looked the part on Thursday, making all eight of his shots and leading California to a 47-34 halftime lead over Oregon in a quarterfinal of the Pacific Life Pac-10 men’s basketball tournament at Staples Center.

Randle made four of the top-seeded Golden Bears’ nine three-pointers en route to 22 points.

Cal guard Patrick Christopher added 14 points as Cal appeared to be on its way to a semifinal matchup against UCLA, a 75-69 winner over Arizona.

Oregon guard Tajuan Porter has scored 10 points.
