To update a couple of injuries:
Kings forward Jeff Halpern, who sustained an upper-body injury when he was slammed into the boards by Vancouver’s Tanner Glass at 8:03 of the first period, won’t return to the game, the team announced. And Vancouver’s Alexandre Burrows, who took a puck in the throat in the first period, did not return for the second period and his return was deemed doubtful.
The Kings increased their lead to 4-0, by the way, on a power-play goal. Jarret Stoll converted the rebound of a shot taken by Drew Doughty, who made a brilliant move to draw a defender down and out of the play before taking a shot that somehow stayed out -- until Stoll pounced on the rebound at 3:37.
