Torii Hunter leaped at the right-field wall in front of the bullpen in Fenway Park on Tuesday night to rob Red Sox third baseman Adrian Beltre of a second-inning home run, the 36th time -- according to the Minnesota Twins and Angels -- that Hunter has robbed an opponent of a homer, and the first time he has done so as a right fielder.

Angels pitcher Jered Weaver thrust both arms into the air as he watched Hunter, who moved from center field to right on Aug. 3, pull the ball back, and Hunter flashed a huge grin after throwing the ball back to the infield.

Hunter has been nicknamed ‘Spiderman’ because of his ability to scale walls, but the Angels would have needed King Kong atop of Godzilla’s shoulders to rob Boston left fielder Darnell McDonald of a third-inning home run. And Hunter would’ve needed stilts to prevent Ryan Kalish’s grand slam in the fourth.

McDonald crushed an 0-and-1 pitch from Weaver high over the bleachers atop the Green Monster in left field, shattering the back window of a Toyota sedan that was parked in a garage behind the 37-foot-high wall. Kalish hit his slam into the Boston bullpen in right-center.
