The Ducks assigned right wing Dan Sexton and left wing Matt Beleskey to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Both players are coming back from injuries.

Sexton, 23, had surgery two weeks ago to repair his broken nose -- the result of being hit by a puck in a game at Detroit. He has missed seven games so far. He has no goals or assists yet this season, but has appeared in only seven games.

As a rookie last season, the speedster scored nine goals and 10 assists in 41 games, leading all Ducks rookies in assists and points.

Last season, as a rookie, he collected 11 goals and seven assists in 60 games.
