Kia Classic: Yani Tseng, Cristie Kerr and Juli Inkster in the hunt

The world’s top-ranked golfer, Yani Tseng of Taiwan, is two-under par through 13 holes in the first round of the Kia Classic in City of Industry on Thursday. Among those currently tied for fourth with Tseng are top-ranked American Cristie Kerr and 50-year-old veteran Juli Inkster.

In third place right now is Christina Kim, a two-time winner on the LPGA Tour. Kim is from San Jose. Sandra Gal of Germany has finished her first round with a six-under 67 and she is a shot behind leader Amanda Blumenherst.
